Our champions Chioma Ugonwa and Andy visited the Awka north Local government headquarters in Achalla to interact with heads and secretaries of departments of Primary healthcare and primary education to know effective is the budgeted allocated the both sectors are being managed.

On getting to the local government premises the both offices were under lock and key and after series of questioning, they found out that most of the staffs don’t come to office except on the first 2 days of the beginning of the week which left their aim of going there fruitless.

Some of the observations noted by our Champion Chioma were poor communication skill between the HODs and their staff members, lack of proper accountability of service etc. We need diligent people to be at the helm of affairs in other to revive our local government system which is on the verge of collapsing.

CSAAE and OSIWA will be committed in making sure that our local government system is been revived ,make recommendations , proffer solutions where necessary in other to keep our Local government system in the South east Nigeria alive.
