Nkwo primary school Omor in Ayamelum LGA is in the shadow of itself when our champions for Ayamelum LGA visited there to assess the facilities of the school but getting to the school it was indeed an eyesore as the building was in its deplorable state and needs an urgent intervention.

It was reported that the school makes use of the community hall as their classroom and an age grade group (Olioku Age Grade) donated a half plot of land for the construction of classroom block which ASUBEB has approved but yet to commence work at the project site till date. There was neither a staffroom for the teachers nor an office for the headmistress which has forced them to be making use of a neighbors shop to pack their valuables. The headmistress called on the government of Anambra state, NGOs and men of Goodwill to come to their aide as they find it more difficult during the raining seasons due the leakages on the roof which is already dilapidated which is not good for the pupils.

Our champions Vincent and Veronica while interacting with the headmistress, encouraged her for the good works she is doing in the school , while assuring her of a possible intervention from CSAAE and OSIWA soon as the data are being collated .
